CONTEST RULES
I. Who Can
Enter
1. The parent must be

2. The parent must be able to bring the child they nominated
to appear on FOX 7 NEWS IN THE MORNING during a weather segment between 7:00am
– 9:00am on Tuesdays beginning July 17, 2007.
3. Employees, shareholders, officers, directors, agents, representatives, and their immediate family members (including those living in the same household) of NW Communications of Austin, Inc. (KTBC FOX 7), employees of their affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate families of each and those living in the same household of each or any person or entity connected with the production, administration or judging of the auditions, or any of their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, agents or representatives are not eligible.
II. How to Enter
1. No purchase is necessary to enter. Only one entry per household per week. Only one winner per household.
2. To enter, go to www.myfoxaustin.com and follow the links to the weather page and click on the “Zack’s Kid Casters” link. If the e-mail dialogue box opens, a parent or legal guardian must include: the parents’ name, date of birth, address and daytime contact number, and the name and birthday date of the child being nominated, a current picture of the child being nominated, and a 125 word essay stating the reason they feel their child will be a good candidate for assisting Zack during the weather. You must put “Zack’s Kid Casters” in the subject line of the e-mail. If you are using a free internet based service (hotmail, yahoo, etc.) you will need to e-mail the required elements described above to weather@fox7.com. The entrant information and the essay must be included in the e-mail, and the child’s picture must be attached as a jpeg to the e-mail (file must not exceed 1 MB). Entries accepted beginning Monday, June 25, 2007 at 9am. Entries remain for consideration for to duration of the contest unless. No incomplete entries will be accepted.
3. Sponsor is not responsible for error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry, grand prize winner or other contest information by Sponsor or entrants for any reason whatsoever. Sponsor is also not responsible for any injury or damage to any entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any materials in the Contest or for entries that are late, misdirected or incomplete. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATIONS OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF THE CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. The sponsor reserves the right to cancel the contest if it becomes technically corrupted.
4. The contest begins Monday, June 25, 2007 at 9am and will continue indefinitely until an end date is announced.
5. Winners will be those with the best reasons for wanting to do the weather with Zack. Child must be outgoing and can communicate/hold conversation with adults. Child must not be camera shy. Child must not be easily disturbed by unfamiliar surroundings. If the child should become upset, uncommunicative or is unable to meet our on-air criteria, or if there is severe weather, breaking news stories, etc., then FOX7 reserves the right to discontinue the on-air portion of the promotion. The contest will be judged by FOX7 personnel, and the decisions of the judges will be final as to all matters.
6. Each Wednesday of the contest, beginning July 11, we will pick a winner. FOX 7 will try to contact the parent by phone 3 times. If the parent cannot be contacted or fails to return the phones calls by Friday of the same week, then they will be disqualified and there will be no winner for that week. If the parent is reached, the parent must come by KTBC FOX7 by the following Monday to complete, sign and return a release of liability and affidavit of eligibility. The nominated child will appear on Tuesday (of the week following the Wednesday when the child was selected). ERV of the appearance: priceless.
7. All entries that are illegible or are from ineligible entrants will be void. All entries become the property of NW Communications of Austin, Inc. (KTBC FOX 7) and will not be acknowledged or returned.
8. Except where prohibited by law, entry constitutes permission to use contestant’s names, hometown, likeness and photograph for any advertising or publicity without compensation to the contestant.
9. Winners will be notified by phone if they are a qualifier/winner. Winner’s parent/legal guardian must sign, complete and return a release of liability and affidavit of eligibility, which must be returned before prize can be awarded. If winner does not timely return the release of liability and affidavit of eligibility, the prize will not be awarded.

1. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received and the decisions of the judges based on entrants’ eligibility.

4. This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. By entering, entrants represent that they are eligible and agree (a) to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the judges and (b) to release KTBC FOX 7, Taurus Training and each of their parent, subsidiary and affiliated entities and each of their directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all responsibility or liability in connection with any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind, to any person or property, caused by or resulting from the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize awarded hereunder.
